Easy Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

 

Everything tastes better with bacon, right???

I think so!  And hot-dogs are no exception.  Lets face it, on these hot and humid summer days, when you really don’t want to hang around over a hot stove cooking, hot dogs are an quick, easy, and mess free go to lunch for the kids, or even just yourself!  Adding bacon to the mix just makes everything better.

There are so many choices when preparing this tasty lunch though, and most of them depend on your own preferences.  What flavor of bacon, what type of hot-dog, and even what kind of bun can influence your taste buds differently.  So, go with what you like the most and make it work!  Meanwhile, I will offer up what I used in the recipe below.

Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs

Ingredients
  • 1 pack hotdogs I use Hebrew National or Nathans
  • 1 pack bacon I love applewood flavor, so that's what I use
  • 1 pack hot dog buns your preference

Ingredients
  • 1 pack hotdogs I use Hebrew National or Nathans
  • 1 pack bacon I love applewood flavor, so that's what I use
  • 1 pack hot dog buns your preference
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat your oven at 450. While warming, cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. No need to oil your pan, bacon makes it's own grease. Lay out your hot dogs in a row and wrap each one with bacon so that most of the hot dog is covered. (spiral) Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  2. Bake for 20 minutes on 450 in middle rack. Bacon should turn out crispy and the ends of your hotdogs may be slightly dark as if on the grill.
