Do you trust your intuition?
For a very long time, I had not. There have been many situations both big and quite small – where something deep inside of me would say “Tenille, stop… something is not right” or “Tenille, they are lying” and I’ll go ahead and finish what I was doing or I chose to believe a person anyway. I can feel the words deep inside of my heart and also in my mind, actually causing me to pause and have second and third thoughts about whatever situation that I am in at that moment. Years later, I would find out that my intuition was right for every single one of those times, looking after my well-being while my naivety did otherwise. View Post
A great night’s sleep. At some point in time, all of us will experience struggling with our sleep habits. Last night was actually a bad night for me. It seemed every hour on the hour, I was waking up and having a hard time getting any rest at all. I’m sure that the fact that there was a mountain of stress involved had very much to do with why I was tossing and turning all night long, but at least I understand why it happened to me last night and I also know what I can do to prevent it from happening more frequently then I like. If you find yourself under a lot of stress like I have, then these few tips below of what to do and what not to do as you get ready for bed could very much help you as well. View Post
While grabbing a few things from the grocery store earlier today, I ran across some fingerling potatoes on clearance for just 99 cents at a local Kroger. Now, these potatoes I have never tried before, but when I see a deal – especially on food – I usually go for it. When I got home I immediately went online for a way to prepare them.
After searching through Google, Foodnetwork and Pinterest, nothing caught my eye other than a unique way that you can slice them. Many recipes called for just cutting them in half length wise, but there was also another way to slice them so that they would look something similar to corkscrew fries. It just looked pretty to me, so I made note of it. View Post
We’ve all seen them before… Whether it be on the corner of a busy intersection, at the entrance or the exit of a shopping plaza, standing out among-st tourist locations, or mingling side by side with a cramped crowd of travelers at subway and bus stations at all over – panhandlers are just about everywhere! What I’m curious to know is, what do you do when you see someone asking for money? When you can’t avoid passing someone who says they are just asking for just a little bit of monetary help?
Some people just simply ignore the beggars, as some would call them, altogether. They look straight ahead and will try not to even glance at the person while passing by. Others will empty their car tray of coins and simply pass on whatever loose change that they can find. And then there are some curious fellows that may just stop and take the time to talk to some of these people – curious to why that person is in the situation that they are in, before deciding to hand out any money at all.
