Southern style Cornbread Dressing has always been the go to side dish to add on the menu for almost every holiday in my household – especially Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter..  My grandmother’s dressing has always been my favorite.  Although I can never get it as perfect as she would, I wanted to share with you all how I always fix mine.  It’s tasty, easy to make and packed with flavor!

It all starts with making dry cornbread.  I usually follow the instructions on the side of a container for yellow cornmeal, but you can find it with an easy web search online as well.  Once you’ve got that made, check back here for the rest of the recipe.  Avoid the sweet cornbread like a box of Jiffy mix, it just won’t work.

Are you up to cooking a hearty main-dish tonight that is super easy to prepare and doesn’t take long to fix?  Meat loaf is my go-to meal.  Paired with mashed potatoes and corn, or perhaps macaroni and cheese and a fresh salad – it’s hearty, tasty, and will definitely fill you up!  Usually prepared with crackers or toast, I personally prefer to use Stove Top Stuffing mix now a days when cooking meatloaf.  With the added spices, it just makes the meal so so good!   Check out the easy to follow recipe below.

Today is Sunday and usually I will eat out with my family after church services.  Today was different though because we went downtown for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure where more than 12,000 people came to support loved ones that either are fighting breast cancer, currently survivors, or lost their battle with it.  After we all got back home and I asked my daughter what she wanted to eat for dinner later tonight, she quickly said Red Lobster. Well, today would be one of those days none of us would not be able to go out to eat, so we settled on trying to fix something similar at home.  Here is the delicious result! View Post
