Gotta be honest, ya’ll. I am currently 37 years old and I don’t drink alcohol. I just never have. I’ve never been into that type of thing. I’ve never liked the smell, or the idea of the taste. Have you ever met those folks that know they don’t like something without even trying it first? That’s me… so yeah, I’ve never tried a real long island iced tea, any kind of cocktail, glass of red wine or even champagne, and I’ve never really wanted to no matter how pretty or bubbly that glass looked. Eh.
Anytime I go out with friends, or with colleagues, or even family, I’m that girl who muffles to the bartender, “I’ll have a coke.”
It took my constant couponing to even try out this “mock-tail” of an alcoholic drink. Earlier this year, Kroger had Ocean Spray’s Mock-tail for it’s free Friday download. And it doesn’t matter what is for free on any given week, I get it all. This would be no exception.
But would I like it? The answer is surprisingly – yes! View Post

I’ve always liked trying out new social sites. I still remember all the days and nights I enjoyed chatting on Collegeclub, and the beginnings of MySpace and also Hi5. Who would have thought today of what a success that Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have become??? And now, here is Snapchat. It’s been out since September of 2011, but it’s taken me almost 6 years to even get curious enough to download this mobile app.
Snapchat is basically a social app used to send videos and photo messages that disappear after a short amount of time – only 24 hours. You can send these messages to everyone on your friends-list, a chosen few, or download them and keep them private for yourself. I can easily see why teenagers would love using this app, and why older folks would easily get confused by it. Shoot, I still don’t know the ins and outs of all Snapchat’s features yet. I have already accidentally sent some people that I follow – including Michelle Obama, a rather silly photo or two that I didn’t mean for them to ever, ever see. So, I try now to be extra careful when maneuvering through the screens whenever using it. View Post
